Hermann Hesse: Champion of the Individual

individual. This program traces the career of the Nobel prize-winning
author, combining beautiful location footage, readings, photographs, and
Hesse’s own paintings, letters, and first editions. Hesse’s publisher,
Siegfried Unseld, discusses the great success of his works and the reasons
for their appeal. Works discussed include Peter Camenzind, Demian,
Klingsor’s Last Summer, Siddhartha, Steppenwolf, and
