Coping with Disruptive Behavior in Group Care
Eva M. Russo and Ann W. Shyne

Group care facilities are increasingly receiving behaviorally disturbed, aggressive, or even violent     children who are unable to live in family settings. Based on a study of 144 highly rated group care centers, the authors' work examines the characteristics of the facilities and the nature of the population in group care settings, as well as the often-overlooked importance of the attitudes, skills, and relationships of the staff members.
