felt that such steps intrude on privacy. Clearly, the public is willing to sacrifice some
rights in a time of crisis. But whose? In this program, correspondent Chris Bury examines
all the new policies and practices in the aftermath of September 11th, focusing on
measures previously forbidden to intelligence or law enforcement agents. Several
perspectives are offered by the dean of the Catholic University Law School; a Harvard Law
School professor; a former senior FBI official; and the executive director of The Council
