Food Addiction
Recovery and Relapse Prevention Workbook
by Stephen F. Grinstead and Terence T. Gorski with Kay Holmes and Gabrielle Antolovich
This workbook is for compulsive overeaters/food addicts and binge
eaters. These terms describe people who use food to manage feelings and cope with life.
Although the primary purpose of this workbook is to assist in the development of a relapse
prevention plan and create a schedule of activities to assist that goal, a person must
first develop an effective recovery plan. The first five exercises are designed to take
people through a series of steps to make sure they are stable in their recovery. These
exercises are beneficial even if a person is already working a solid recovery program. The
last five exercises help identify and manage high-risk situations that could trigger
relapse despite a commitment to a Healthy Living Plan.
